After winning the 2010 digital pitch for M&S the first big brief was Christmas.
The result was social media driven version of Pass the Parcel and the M&S Christmas Helper hub - a series of useful tools to help you through Christmas.
M&S Christmas Helper
A series of widgets which helped make your Christmas preparations a little bit easier. There was wine pairing, gift buying, dinner planning and more. The M&S Size Detective helped people do some sneaky reconnaissance, anonymously finding out the sizes of your loved ones to ensure you surprised them with a perfect gift in the perfect fit.
Pass the Parcel
An online version of the classic childhood game Pass the Parcel was created to reward loyal M&S Facebook fans. It was the first Facebook campaign that M&S had ever done and it tripled their number of fans during the two weeks the campaign ran. In fact, it created so much buzz and excitement that M&S has continued to run it every year since.
The helpful tool idea was extended to display with tandem banners that gave you specific category themed gift recommendations to fit your budget
